WTF is Raid Party?
Raid Party is an Idle Yield MMORPG built on the Ethereum network that draws inspiration from games such as Tap Titans and the Steam Summer Sale 2015 Monster game. Essentially, player’s group together to raid a dungeon and fight a boss- a concept familiar to all MMORPG lovers!
The gameplay was created with 2 main goals in mind.
Gamify yield.
Variance to the yield amounts.
So what exactly is Raid Party? In their own Words:
In RaidParty, players join The Raid: a massive dungeon in which only a single boss is present at all times. A player's "party" is the team they enter into the dungeon with, composed of one Hero NFT and a limited amount of Fighter NFTs. All players contribute in dealing damage with their teams to this single boss over time and are distributed $CFTI.
If you hadn’t already guessed, $CTFI is the utility token within the Raid Party ecosystem. This can be utilised in a number of ways, including increasing an NFTs damage stats. In turn, players are rewarded in their next raid with more $CTFI (as their proportionate damage inflicted on a boss increases). The gameplay itself is strangely addictive. Although the game itself is idle, I often found myself actively watching the raids… something i’ve rarely done when playing other Idle GameFi games.
NFTs
There are 2 separate NFT collections within the Raid Party ecosystem:
Raid Party Heroes.
RaidParty Fighters.
Raid Party Heroes are the standout collection within the ecosystem. As NFTs, they are headshots of characters and naturally, also serve as PFPs. The original Genesis collection includes 1111 Heroes. New Heroes can also be summoned at a cost of 15 fighters and have varying stats, affecting the after market price.
A Hero’s strength is determined by 3 key traits:
Party damage multiplier.
Base party limit.
Enhancement level.
Whilst the first 2 are fairly self explanatory, the enhancement level is the trait that can be increased by spending $CTFI (as previously mentioned).

On the other hand, Raid Party Fighters differ from heroes as they are zoomed out, full body NFTs. Fighters can be purchased through the after market and can also be summoned, however it’s worth noting that it’s currently more expensive to summon a fighter than to purchase one (due to the chance of summoning a high stat Fighter). Alongside this, fighters can also be staked to earn yield.
Similarly to a Hero, a Fighter has 2 key traits:
Base damage.
Enhancement level.

What Exactly is a Boss?
As mentioned above, a single boss is present in the dungeon which all players fight. A player will enter the Boss’s dungeon with their Party (composed of 1 hero and multiple fighters) and attempt to slay it.
Each boss has a type (based on their difficulty) and lasts a specific number of blocks (representing its health). A breakdown of each boss and their rewards is seen below.
A breakdown of each type of Boss.
The varying bosses makes the game’s economy particularly interesting. With the varying $CTFI multiplier, the yield of $CTFI will vary each day. In turn, this creates a variance in the daily supply of $CTFI, which could be particularly high if there are numerous Godly bosses per week (and vice-versa). Consequently, the economy will go through periods with varying $CTFI supply, adding to the depth of the in-game economy. This is a particularly interesting way to go about adding supply and I'm intrigued to see the long term results.
Community
I’ve been super impressed with the Raid Party community. Not only is the Discord a super friendly and helpful place, but users are actively adding to the experience. Below I’ve linked a Raid Party Dashboard and Database (all credit to the creators) which allows players to get a deeper understanding of both the economy and the gameplay.
These are both unbelievable resources and truly add to the Raid Party experience, it’s great to see people contributing in such a positive way. I’m also a big fan of Raid Party offering grants for this kind of work and love seeing the developers actively engaging with the community!
Future plans:
The Raid Party Team have also stated their intent on adding both items and guilds, 2 welcome additions that I can see greatly increasing the depth of the game. Their detailed thoughts can be found here.
Raid Party have had a great launch and I’m looking forward to seeing how the game evolves. I’ve attached their first weeks recap for those of you that are interested.
If you would like to keep up to date with the Raid Party Team and the developments of their game you can do so by following their official Twitter (@raidparty) and by joining their Discord.
