Wtf is Treasure DAO?
Treasure DAO is one of the leading projects within the GameFi space, but what actually is it?
In their own words, Treasure DAO are building a ‘Decentralised Nintendo’ for the Metaverse. Treasure DAO is made up of multiple core components, ranging from their own central Metaverse (more on that later), play-to-earn games (created by themselves as well as 3rd party developers), a launchpad and their very own NFT marketplace. But what links these segments together?
$MAGIC
$MAGIC is the native token for the Treasure DAO ecosystem and is used across each of these segments. This ensures a high demand for the token, with it being the medium of exchange in the Treasure DAO NFT marketplace and the ecosystem currency.
Treasure DAO is built on the Arbitrum network, providing high security whilst also benefiting from cheaper transactions. It is worth noting that the gameplay aspect is moving across to the Cosmos ecosystem, benefiting players with no transaction costs and super fast execution times!
As previously mentioned, Treasure DAO are launching their own central Metaverse known as Bridgeworld. Perhaps the most interesting part of this is the founder’s long term vision for Bridgeworld, with the core idea being that it will become a layer 0 for other Metaverses, bootstrapping other projects through incorporating them directly into the Treasure DAO ecosystem (further utilising the usage of $MAGIC and increasing demand for the token). Ultimately these games are integrating DeFi in the best possible way, a fun user experiencing whilst maintaining core DeFi concepts such as liquidity providing at the centre of it all.
The Treasure Marketplace
The Bridgeworld ecosystem can be broken down into a ‘three-part resource economy’:
$MAGIC (Power)
Treasures (NFTs/ Resources)
Legions (NFTs/ Players)
As previously mentioned, $MAGIC powers the ecosystem. It allows for NFTs to be purchased through the marketplace and used as productive assets within games.
Treasures are NFTs that games can interact with. Treasures can be used for a whole range of things, from crafting consumables to being staked to earn $MAGIC. Alongside this, they also add value and benefits to each of their native games in their own way.
Finally, legions are essentially players within the ecosystem. They are able to complete a host of activities, including crafting items, questing for treasures and mining $MAGIC.
Treasure DAO summarised the world and how each of these assets interact in a perfect story format:
This is where our story begins.
The Bridgeworld, The Origin Enclave, The Stasis Dimension.
A splice of worlds.
Through the ages, there have been countless songs and legends that told the tale of this world. All suspended in time, eclipsed from space -- silent. It was said that this world had no origin; a blank slate. A mere bridge connecting the multitude of other worlds together, from the beginning to the end of time.
Until -- the celestial ones gazed upon this abstract world. They found a world of remains filled with debris from other worlds rich with lore and essence that existed long ago.
It was a world of Treasures, of long forgotten relics, and of effaced legends.
The Treasure World.
The celestial ones deemed this world the nexus of all worlds. It weaves other worlds together in perpetuity. Legions were elected to study the Magic that sustained this world -- to guide, to govern, and to protect it.
This is where our story begins.
